Hi, I'm Allison Perez. Creativity and learning have always been at the heart of everything I do.
I started my professional journey as a high school science teacher after earning my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science from the University of South Florida. Teaching taught me early on that the best learning happens when you connect real-world relevance to clear, actionable experiences. That principle has shaped my work ever since.
Along the way, my creative drive pulled me into graphic and website design, leading to several years as a Graphic Designer at Liquid Creations Hydrographics while still teaching full-time. Blending creativity with education taught me how to translate complex ideas into clean, accessible designs, a skill that continues to guide my instructional design work today.
When I discovered instructional design, everything clicked. Here was the space where creativity, communication, and real-world business strategy
met. Today, as an instructional designer, I create learning experiences that do more than engage learners; they drive outcomes, close performance gaps, and support organizational goals. I design with both the learner and the business in mind because training is only successful when it leads to measurable results.
Currently, I am completing my Master’s degree in Instructional Design and building a portfolio of work that reflects strong collaboration across L&D and operations teams. I specialize in self-paced eLearning, virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, and blended solutions that are focused, actionable, and aligned to real business needs.
Over the years, I have worn many hats — teacher, scientist, designer, instructional designer, safety leader — and I am proud to say I have developed a strong neck from carrying them all. Outside of work, you can find me wearing a few more hats: wife, mom, and enthusiastic crafting hobbyist.
No matter the role, I bring the same approach: creativity, curiosity, a focus on outcomes, and a genuine commitment to making learning work for people and for organizations.
